Javier Starks is an emcee, songwriter, educator, and youth advocate. Starks provides audiences with a positive alternative by choosing to perform curse-free Hip Hop with verses that don’t degrade women, promote drugs, excessive violence, or over-glorifies money. He teaches kids why self-respect and respecting others is so important when expressing ourselves through art.”

Starks led youth workshops in Tripoli, Lebanon, and was commissioned to record an original song to honor Oliver Tambo’s 100th birthday in South Africa. He has performed, recorded, and collaborated with numerous award-winning artists including Logic, Robert Glasper, Keyon Harrold, Miles Mosley, Chris Dave, Derrick Hodge, and the West Coast Get Down.
